We drove to Tampa to the Mission Office to participate in the monthly Mission Leadership Council. We enjoy these meetings as the missionaries discuss issues with President Cusick. Today they had a follow-up on the Worldwide Missionary Broadcast and the special MLC with Elder Kopischke. The intent was to identify areas that should receive additional discussion in the weekly district meetings. President Cusick also wanted to know how the missionaries are responding to the new standards of excellence. The general reaction seems to have been positive. The concern with raising the standards is that some missionaries might become discouraged. Apparently that has not been a problem, or at least the missionaries haven't said they are discouraged.
