As we were preparing to leave to drive to St. Petersburg for a district meeting, we received a text message from Sis. Smith telling us that the Skyway Bridge was closed due to fog. So instead of a 50 minute drive, it took 90 minutes having to drive through downtown Tampa and then acoss the bay and back to St. Petersburg. We were only a few minutes late to the meeting.
The district has a new, young district leader and new, young sister training leaders. They all did well in conducting the training on working with members and dealing with various challenges. As usual, they had several roleplays with discussion afterward about how they could improve.
We had lunch with Elder and Sister Smith. They will be returning home in two weeks. They have had a major impact on the Gulfport Branch and St. Petersburg Ward where they have been working.
